Need some help with Mage Macros

Hey guys I love to pvp and I was wanting a little help with my mage macros.  The first one works and I use a lot in pvp.  It is a focus on a single target and when they cast you can just click it to counterspell them...very handy in an arena.  here it is:

/stopcasting
/cast [target=focus,exists,harm] Counterspell
/cast [target=mouseover,harm] Counterspell;Counterspell
/cast [exists,harm] Counterspell


Now here is the one I am having problems with.  I have seen this used in WoW videos and would like to use it on my mage.  the point of it is to bring out your water elemental and automatically have his ranged frost nova AOE spell ready to cast and once cast attack the target. Neither me nor Sodomite can get this to work.  Any help would be appreciated in helping get this to work.

/stopmacro [nopet]
/petpassive
/click PetActionButton5

These are pvp macros I got from a 2200 rated duel Ice mage team.  They both work for them.  I cant get the water elemental one to work though, Devon's macros are more for pve than what I am doing.

/cast [nopet] Summon Water Elemental
/stopmacro [nopet]
/petpassive
/click PetActionButton5
/petattack

I wont get to play around with the macro till I get home firday, but maybe try small things if you havn't already, i.e., take out the space after "[nopet]" in the first line, or try a ; or : there instead of a space. That might be it, sometimes it's little things that people forget...

So after a little research, I found a post that said the macro was affected in the last patch, and was not working properly.

/cast [target=pet,dead] Summon Water Elemental; [nopet] Summon Water Elemental
/stopmacro [nopet]
/petpassive
/click [pet] PetActionButton5
/petattack

This might be a fix.

I don't know if you have to click this more than once to get it to work, looks like you might, but beacuse it's a "player" ability, and then a "pet" ability, you should be able to spam it regardless of the GCD until you get your targeting reticle for the Ele's Nova.

One thing to not, is you can replace

/click [pet] PetActionButton5

with

/click [pet] Freeze

but that would only be a problem if your trying to reserve characters in the macro.

[Ghettovet]

Summon your Water Elemental if it is down. If you water elemental is up, it will use your pet's ranged nova.

/cast [nopet] Summon Water Elemental
/click PetActionButton5
