The officers have decided to make some changes in preparation for WotLK. We will remain a casual guild, and our goal is still to have fun. But in order to be successful progressing in raid content on a limited schedule we thought some changes needed to be made.
We have decided to remove players for inactivity. If none of a player's toons have been online for 15 days that player's toons will be removed from the guild. If the player was a productive member of the guild and becomes active again, they will be welcomed back. If they were an Associate or under-performing player, they will most likely not be invited back. NOTE: We realize there are members in the military who may be out to sea. We won't remove you for that; you have our thanks for serving in the military and your toons will remain guilded.
We will make it harder to get into the guild. If a player joins as an Associate and then doesn't meet our standards, we will let them go. Standards we will look at include: are they raiding, showing up for raids they signed up for, interacting on the forums to improve their character, are they more interested in loot or friendship, are they interacting with the guild at all, do they have the ability to dps/heal/tank at a rate which will help the guild, etc. It doesn't help the guild to accept a member that will not help us in the long run. And it doesn't help that player to be here if they aren't getting invited to raids.
We have also decided to trim our roster a bit. We will be removing main characters that aren't 70 and haven't shown any progress. We have been very casual in the past allowing toons to join that are alts of players in other guilds. We need all of our members to be dedicated to this guild to be successful so these toons may be removed if the officers feel the player isn't dedicated to helping our guild. We will be removing some characters that have been under-performing. We will speak with these players privately and let them know about our decision.
Our goal is to be very successful doing raid content on a limited schedule with as little drama as possible once WotLK goes live. Hopefully you all understand why some changes had to be made.
